In Person Chair Yoga & Movement for Desk Workers for with team Belfast Met
Back in May, we were delighted to join some of the team at Belfast Met for an in-person session! - Chair Yoga & Movement for Desk Workers!
We’ve now worked with Belfast Met on several initiatives over the last two years, and as a past pupil it’s something that makes me super proud :)
Back in May, we joined some of the Belfast Met team on site at their Titanic Quarter campus for a 30 minute educational workshop. We worked with the Belfast Met team to design a workshop that helped balance the stagnant stillness of desk work with fun & practical exercises to help counteract the negative effects of being seated for too long.
We’re in the business of promoting a better work / movement balance, and in turn boosting our cognitive function & feel good endorphins!
This session was designed to:
Enjoy a productive pick me up breaks whilst desk working, we’ll look at Early Morning Energising to movements for Neck & Shoulders, Low Back Awareness to Evening Wind Downs.
Counteract the physical aches and pains we now associate with all the extra sitting we do.
Outline the benefits of better work/movement balance whilst #WFH
Encourage better posture and strengthen the low back for #WFH
And in these hybrid times, although the session was designed to be delivered in person at Belfast Met, it was supported by a supplementary online resource for repeating, catching up, and checking out some bonus related content.Belfast Met Discount on our Award Winning Online Programmes
Thanks so much again for having me, and hope to work together again soon!
