FinTrU Flo & Fitness Belfast Bring Yoga Home!

I’m honoured to have worked with local company global powerhouse FinTrU now for over two years.

In conjunction with their HR team, we’ve had desk stretching sessions, World Mental Health Day initiatives, Stress Awareness Day initiatives, and the now long running weekly ‘FinTrU Flo’ staff yoga sessions.

Their bespoke weekly yoga practice is designed to...

  • Decrease workplace stress and increase workplace mental wellbeing

  • Improve workforce camaraderie and community

  • Increase postural awareness, strength and mobility

  • Build resistance to physical and mental fatigue

  • Meet fellow employees - new recruits are encouraged as a rite of passage 😂

  • Highlight importance of “Taking 5 Minutes” during working day to improve productivity

  • And just get away from their desk!

Together, we use a super potent combo of mobility moves, yoga postures, deep rhythmic breathing and a healthy dose of left right confusion to thrive during our lunchtime classes.

And looking after our physical & mental health has never been more important than during the current lockdown, so over the past few weeks, we’ve again worked closely with FinTrU’s HR team and brought our weekly sessions online. Any awkwardness is quickly forgotten as together we can bring a sense of connection & normality to our week!

You can see lots more of my Corporate Wellness work with FinTrU and others here, and if you’d like me to create a bespoke yoga or fitness class to help your team to stay healthy & connected while they work from home, just get in touch 🙌🏻🌟

A focus on employee health and wellbeing is at the forefront of what FinTrU offers to our team, and working with Fitness Belfast continues to be a key part of our award winning TrU Wellness strategy.

Currently, having our regular practices with Gary in the calendar, albeit virtually, is great. It is a brilliant opportunity for FinTrU staff from across our offices in Belfast and Derry/Londonderry to get involved. And it seems that people are loving the opportunity to be even more ambitious with their postures in the privacy of their own homes!

I started yoga to improve my mobility for my sport and help prevent injuries. I thought I would only attend a few classes, but here I am over a year later and I am a regular almost every week. It’s great and I would highly recommend it to everyone.
