On the day, festive (and most likely warm!) attire is entirely encouraged as we begin our day together by enjoying a sunrise walk led by me, Gary Milligan, with plenty of space to enjoy the beautiful scenery, chat to friends old and new, set intentions for the year ahead, take selfies obviously and maybe even enjoy a few little festive challenges to keep us warm.

Finishing our walk with some hot drinks, festive treats and sounds from the boot of my car, we can make our way back into the hustle & bustle of Belfast having enjoyed a thoroughly wholesome morning!

Like every year, we are collecting donations for the Perinatal Trust Fund (NI) - they help purchase medical and other equipment, support education and training of staff and support research into problems of newborn babies in the Regional Neonatal Unit, Royal Maternity Hospital, Belfast.

If you’d like to make a donation to a great cause, you can do so when you’re booking your spot (we will cover any fees so 100% of your donation reaches the charity), or cash on the day :)

Sunday 17th December 2023 timetable:

• 8am – Meet-up/roll call at Cave Hill car park

• 8.30am – Warm up and start the walk

• 10.30/11am approx – return to car park, for hot drinks & festive treats

Our meeting place is the carpark you get to from the Innisfayle Park entrance (turn into Innisfayle Park from the Antrim Road – it’s on the left just after The Landsdowne Hotel if you’re heading out of town). Go through the entrance gates, up the hill, and you’ll see us in the little car park on the left, just before the gates to the Belfast Castle car park.

Please consider car sharing with friends to arrange to travel to and from Cave Hill in groups, as the car park is quite small.
