Thrilled to be sharing some awesome 2021 news –Fitness Belfast has been crowned Most Inclusive Online Fitness Training Studio in the Irish Enterprise Awards 2021!

I didn’t set out for the Fitness Belfast Studio to be an online studio. When Lockdown #1 hit, we’d only been open for about 8 weeks, we only had one (award winning) online programme, my PT clients & corporate classes were all in real life, and like a lot of us, I’d never even heard of Zoom 😂

I did however set out for the Fitness Belfast Studio to be inclusive. A place where beginners took their first steps to better physical and mental health, a place where ‘bros’ came to ‘flo’ for the first time, a place where we celebrate the rise of women’s football here in NI, and for someone of any ability to walk in, feel super welcome and hopefully super comfortable, calm and confident!

I’m delighted to have been recognised for all the work we’ve put into adapting online since March 2020, but I wouldn’t have got there without the support of my awesome clients.

Shout out thanks to just some of the awesome people who’ve practiced online with me since in the last year – the original BroFlo crew - beaming in from city centres in Canada, farms in France, and of course lots of spare bedrooms in Belfast; my awesome Personal Training clients who adapted to different environments, different equipment, with the same chat & energy as ever; the over 50,000 of you who tuned into our Facebook LIVEs for what became The Lockdown Series, as well as joining the Cool FM breakfast crew and schooling Pete, Paulo & Rebecca in some Friday yoga moves; our interactive small group classes for TRX PT, Yoga for Beginners, and the always popular Kickass Bootcamp at Home; as well as just some of the awesome corporate wellness clients we had join us - some, like FinTrU, getting in early doors and converting their in person classes to online, and some like Liberty IT, Belfast Met, Smarts, Concentrix and Queens University having our first meetings online!

Thanks again to all of the Fitness Belfast family for your support in making this happen – and for the Irish Enterprise Awards for the recognition.

Now in its fourth year of showcasing exemplary Irish business, this awards programme has continued to highlight and recognise the enterprises that are thriving across the entirety of Ireland.
Whilst it is an understatement to say that the last year has been a challenging one, the COVID-19 pandemic has also been a catalyst for immense change. There have been times of uncertainty which has forced a colossal transformation of global business; however, many Irish enterprises and businesses have achieved great things despite the obstacles facing them.
